The process of installing applications like Flix Vision on your Android TV differs from that on your phone. You cannot simply open web browser and download the file. But fear not, there is an uncomplicated solution to it which works.
In this guide, I will show you the easiest way using a free app called Downloader. Just follow these steps, and within a few minutes you will be watching on your big screen.
What You Will Need
Great, before we dive in, just have these three things ready:
- An Android TV (for example, a Sony, Mi TV, TCL, or Nvidia Shield).
- A consistent TV WiFi connection.

Enable Security Permissions — The Most Important First Step
In order to protect you, Android TV prevents you from downloading after-market applications from outside the Google Play Store. Firstly, we have to modify this setting to make the Downloader app work fine.
Press the Home button on your Android TV remote to return to your main screen.
Go to the Settings icon, typically resembling a wheel.

Step 1: Install the App called 'Downloader'
Launch the Google Play Store on your TV home screen.
Open the search option from the left bar then write down Downloader.

Step 2 — Allow Downloader to Download
Next, From the security menu which you opened in the previous step by Settings > Device Preferences > Security & restrictions > Unknown Sources.
This will refresh the list and you should see the Downloader app here now.
Highlight Downloader and press your remote control and enable it ON or Allowed position. This is a crucial step for this to work.
Step 3: Download & Set up Flix Vision
Launch the Downloader app from your app list.
After installation, the app displays a home screen with a large address bar that reads 'Enter a URL or Search Term'. Click it.
Using your remote, type the exact download link for the Flix Vision APK into the bar. Double-check for any typos.
Click the Go button. Your APK file will start to download immediately. You will see a progress bar.
When finished, a new window should open automatically. These are installation windows of Flix Vision
Then use your remote control to scroll down and click on the Install button.
After the installation, it will show App installed. You can now click Done.
Downloader will then show a pop-up with the file you downloaded, after you click Done. You have to choose Delete the installation file. Selecting Delete in order to free space of your TV is a good option.
